Minnesota Horse Council - Who are they and what do they do?

This session focuses on what the Minnesota Horse Council is and how they support the equine industry in Minnesota. Information will be provided on the MN Horse Council programs, how to become a member or volunteer with the MN Horse Council. MN Horse Council promotes horse activities and education along with legislative efforts on behalf of the Minnesota Equine industry. Come and find out what we are about and how you can be part of the equine industry efforts.

Meg Sax

Meg Sax serves on the Minnesota Horse Council Board of Directors. Meg has been a Minnesota Horse Council member for several years. She currently serves the Promotions Committee Chairperson and  serves on the Grants, Communications, Inventory and Website committees. Meg grew up on the family farm in West Central Minnesota where her first horse experiences were with the Belgian draft horses that her grandfather owned.  Following college graduation Meg renewed her love of horseback riding and purchased her first Quarter horse gelding. She has been actively involved in the horse industry since. Meg serves on the State 4-H Horse Program Development Committee, American Youth Horse Council Board of Directors as treasurer, Minnesota Quarter Horse Association Executive Secretary, Minnesota Quarter Horse Foundation Treasurer and Round up Riders Saddle Club of Milaca.
