1:15pm-3:15pm
Meet and greet the horses and riders of the Minneapolis Mounted Police
as they demonstrate their police riding abilities and formation riding
skills used for crowd management and arresting and
apprehending suspects while on horseback. Also showcased will be their
Large Animal Rescue trailer, equipment and skill sets that have shown
great success in the equine world around Minnesota. Dennis Auslam will
demonstrate how we take green riders to intermediate riders in 6 weeks
working with his confidence course and sensory training for horses and
riders.These four legged Officers and their
riders bring a natural softness to any scene that they come across and
are a big community engagement and crime deterring tool for the City of
Minneapolis.
