Larry Whitesell has been training gaited horses for over 30 years. He has a degree in Education. Jennifer Bauer graduated from River Falls University with a degree in Equine Science and has been training professionally for over 10 years. Both have studied with classical trainers and continue to do so. Most of their teachers have come from the French Classical school of thought. They teach how collection produces gait as well as a relaxed and responsive horse, in such a way that anyone can do it. Tammy Whyte has been in horses most of her life and grew up showing at WSCA horse shows. Back then she had one horse and did all events on that horse from western pleasure to the barrel and pole classes. She then got involved in Little Britches Rodeo and High School Rodeo. Her High School Rodeo career consisted of competing in Breakaway Roping, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, and Cutting, traveling each year to the finals to compete with the team from Wisconsin. Tammy began training horses when out of high school and has continued to train throughout her marriage, raising 2 children and many injuries. Her most recent accomplishments include 9 consecutive years as a Great Lakes Circuit Finals qualifier with 6 consecutive Barrel Racing Championships. She also runs MN Rodeo, NBHA, and other open events. The last 2 years Tammy has finished in the top 50 of the world standings for the WPRA/PRCA standings. She continues to train lightly and compete because she loves it so much and says “I love to help others reach out to attain their goals by giving them the advice and help that I have learned from others to reach mine.” Tammy is a Nutrena ambassador supporting the Nutrena brand and will be available at the Nutrena booths in the Livestock Building Friday and Saturday of Expo to answer questions and meet the public. Visit Tammy's website at www.tammywhyte.com

Jerry Wayne Olson -
Rodeo Specialty Act

Jerry Wayne Olson
was born in Sturgis, South Dakota. From trick roping to his amazing acts with his horses, Justin Boots (a.k.a. JB) and Bucko, Jerry entertains with character and class. He has performed in some of the most elite entertainment venues across the nation and has been honored with numerous awards. Jerry has performed on stage with Ted Nugent, appeared at Madison Square Garden, and has been honored 10 times with the top 5 PRCA Specialty Acts of the Year award.

Through many dedicated hours of training and bonding, Jerry has perfected his act with JB. Saddle, bridle and rider free - JB reacts to Jerry through voice and hand commands and provides a top-notch performance. Scout may be a miniature horse, but his attitude and acts don't fall short of the crowd's expectations. From fetching Jerry's hat to walking on his hind legs and then formally bowing to the crowd, Scout proves time and time again the "size doesn't matter".

Jerry continues to astonish crowds of all ages with his trick roping abilities. He provides a variety of "stunts" as he begins with a basic butterfly and progresses to the most difficult lariat trick - the Texas Skip. Jerry also spins up a man-sized vertical-loop spinning at a blinding 180 RPM.   Visit Jerry's website www.olsonacts.com for video of JB and Jerry performing.
